Facilities

The house has everything you will need to make you feel at home. The lounge area is generously furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would expect to find to find in a house of this standard. We have also provided a variety of entertainment facilities for your relaxation. Please note that smoking and pets are not permitted.

Kitchen and Utility

The kitchen and utility area are fitted with full-size appliances including:

  • Electric oven, hob and extractor fan
  • Dishwasher
  • Full size fridge-freezer
  • Microwave, kettle and toaster
  • Granite work surfaces
  • Cutlery, crockery and glassware for 12 place settings
  • A wide range of pots, pans and other normal kitchen utensils
  • Music docking station (fits most  “iPods” and MP3 players)
  • Clothes airer and pegs (there is also a retractable line on the 1st floor terrace)
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Washing machine
  • There is a separate WC on the ground floor

Lounge and Dining Area

The large lounge dining room has sliding glass doors leading to the south facing patio garden. There is a ceiling fan for the summer and wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings in. Other furnishings include:

  • Hot & Cold Air conditioning
  • Dining table and chairs for 6 people
  • 2 leather sofas (3 + 2) and footstool
  • 32 inch flat screen LCD TV and DVD player with USB port to enable you to play movies etc from your own external devices such as iPods (DVD player also plays CDs)
  • Music docking station (fits most “iPods” and MP3 players)
  • An assortment of board games and DVDs

Bedrooms and Terraces

Each bedroom is equipped with:

  • Hot & Cold Air conditioning
  • Superior mattresses
  • Percale cotton linen
  • Hairdryer
  • Ceiling fan (floor standing fan in attic room due to sloping ceilings)
  • Duvets and additional bedspreads
  • Bath and hand towels
  • Bedside tables and lights
  • Ample wardrobe space and coat hangers

The terraces are south facing, have sea views and are both equipped with a small table, two sun loungers with cushions and a patio umbrella.

Master en suite Bedroom with Terrace (First Floor)

In addition to the above, the 1st floor master bedroom has a king sized (5 ft) double bed and a chair. The patio doors lead onto the large south facing terrace. The en suite bathroom has a WC, bidet, washbasin and a full size bath with power shower over the bath.

Twin Bedroom (First Floor)

The twin bedroom is also on the 1st floor and has two (3 ft) single beds and a wicker arm chair. There is a shower room with power shower, washbasin and W.C. adjacent to this bedroom shared with the attic room.

Attic Bedroom with Terrace (Second Floor)

The large open plan attic bedroom takes up the whole of the 2nd floor. It has two (3 ft) single beds. Patio doors lead onto the south facing terrace.

Communal Gardens and Grounds

The front door of the townhouse opens on to a pedestrianised area leading to the communal gardens and pool area.

The swimming pool and children's pool are open from mid May to mid September. A lifeguard is on duty during opening hours.

The paddle tennis courts are open all year round.  Paddle tennis bats are available at the house.

Rear Patio Garden

The rear south facing garden is fully enclosed and private and has a large outside table and 6 chairs with an extending sun umbrella.  The lockable rear gate leads to ample on-street parking should you decide not to park underground.

Other facilities for your comfort include:

  • A collection of books for reading and exchange
  • Four folding low chairs, a parasol and beach towels
  • Cool box and cool bags
  • An electric barbecue for use in the patio garden (NB. Gas and charcoal barbecues are not permitted on the development)

*These are available for a small charge per item per stay. This covers collection and return of these items from our store as they take up too much space if left at the property when not needed.

Nearby

The following are all within walking distance for your convenience (or when he’s taken the car to the golf course):

  • The nearest small (seasonal) local supermarket is less than 10 minutes walk
  • There is a fresh bread shop, ice cream parlour, pizzeria, bar and restaurants less than 10 minutes walk towards the beach. (Please note these may have limited opening hours in the low season.)
  • There is a large enclosed children’s park with playground area and goal posts for ball games less than 200 m from the complex green entry gates.
  • There is a paved beachfront walkway / promenade all the way into El Portil with plenty of seating along the way
  • At intervals along the promenade are outdoor gym areas with exercise equipment for adults (there is no charge for using this)
  • Kilometres of purpose built cycle paths
